Hatred is complicated, clothing is simple — Edward doesn’t need a man, and he certainly doesn’t need cosplayer and tattoo artist, Izzy Montes, a.k.a. The Masked Gentleman, Edward’s ultimate nemesis.

Edward and Izzy have been antagonising each other for over three years. Their rivalry is fierce, and Edward is determined to keep Izzy at arm’s length. Which would be all well and good… if they weren’t engaging in a secret, heated hook-ups.

Forced to appear together at a film premier in LA, Edward is determined to get in and out with minimal damage to his reputation… and his heart. But Izzy Montes proves to be a complication Edward couldn’t have predicted. Biting, funny, and charming in equal measure, he’s the one man Edward needs to loathe.

He’s also the one man Edward can’t get out of his mind.

Not that Izzy plans on letting him.

Charisma Check is a 80,000-word contemporary MM romance featuring comic conventions, snark, many costume changes, and only one bed. It is book two in the Roll for Love series and should be listened to as part of the series.

Douglas Harding is best known for his book On Having No Head, and for the development of his “headless way experiments” – awareness exercises that enable anyone to see who they really are – the boundless single eye that we are all looking out of and that includes everything…

As well as writing many books, Harding also wrote many articles. The collection of articles in As I See It, arranged in chronological order, span the period of Harding’s life (1909-2007) from the early 1940s to the late 1990s. As I See It is not a collection of all of Harding’s articles but of those not in print elsewhere. As you’ll see from the articles in this collection, his focus changed over the years. In the ‘50s he was still drenched in the ideas he had presented in The Hierarchy of Heaven and Earth, so in early articles he’s primarily focused on the many-levelled living universe, including the existence of “angels” – hopefully that piques your interest! Then in the ‘60s come articles where he is simplifying his approach and language, focusing more directly on the experience of seeing – though awareness of the sacred, many-levelled living universe is never far from the surface. Harding was also now sharing seeing with a growing number of people – a loose-knit circle ofseeing friends was emerging. (The article Spontaneous Awakening describes the first time Harding really shared seeing.) After a “winter” of more than 20 years alone with who he really was, sharing seeing with others and receiving such encouraging feedback came like a surge of exhilarating spring energy in Harding’s life. In the ‘70s, increasingly being asked to give workshops, Harding found himself developing his experiments – the “skilful means” that make sharing seeing so quick and easy. Harding also explored the implications of seeing in a variety of contexts: In the field of psychology – as a remedy for alienation, depression, fear and anxiety; in the field of politics – as a remedy for the conflict between nations, power blocs, races…And Harding’s profound respect for and love of Christ – he was raised in the fundamentalist Plymouth Brethren – is obvious in Harding’s list.

Listen to these articles in chronological order or jump about randomly…My hope is that each will guide you along a unique path to the home you never left, the clear frameless window you are looking out of now – this wider-than-wide single eye; this boundless, infinitely charming, incomparable no-face; this so so still and peaceful hub of the always-busy world…(From the Preface, written by the editor, Richard Lang).

Captain William Hawksmoor of the Royal Navy never expected to inherit Kingscastle and is none too pleased when he does so. Especially when he learns that he must marry within a year or be forever dealing with trustees.

As the new marquis of Athelney, the captain takes command of Kingscastle and discovers much to be done to set it in order. He must also contend with his aunt Lady Willoughby Hawksmoor, who is determined that her daughter will be his wife. When she discovers he is far more interested in Eleanor Burgess, her underpaid and much put-upon companion, Lady Willoughby shows she will stop at nothing to keep them apart.

A year has passed. A lot has happened, but worse is to come.

The year is 1794. A young nobleman, Eric Three Roses, languishes in hospital. Some think he would be just at home in the madhouse across the road. Ridden with guilt, he spends his nights writing down memories of his lost love who died on their wedding night. Her mother also mourns her and when no one listens to her suspicions, she begs the aid of the only person who will listen: Jean Mickel Cardell, the one-armed watchman.

Cecil Winge is six months in the ground but when his younger brother Emil seeks out the watchman to retrieve his brother’s missing pocket watch, Cardell enlists his help to discover what really happened at Three Roses’ estate that night. But, unlike his dead brother, the younger Winge is an enigma, and Cardell soon realises that he may be more hindrance than help. And when they discover that a mysterious slave trader has been running Three Roses’ affairs, it is a race against time to discover the truth before it’s too late.

In 1794, the second installment of Niklas Natt och Dag’s historical noir trilogy, we are reunited with Mickel Cardell, Anna Stina Knapp and the bustling world of late 18th century Stockholm. The city is about to see its darkest days yet as veneers crack and the splendour of old gives way to what is hiding in the city’s nooks and crannies.
