Just couldn’t get into it. I was hoping the story would get better, BUUUUUUT it didn’t. Wish I’d enjoyed it more!
Some good parts but overall, super boring. I really wanted to like this book because I had heard some good things but it was kind of a snore fest.
I got 2hrs in and just got bored. Story wasn’t grabbing me. Main character wasn’t asking enough questions or fighting back. I dnf.
The characters are interesting and made better by the narrator but the story is ridiculous. More to the point the writing is bad. it reads like a college assignment that requires the student to use as many archaic, over blown, excessive words as possible. To put it their way the author is a Sesquipedalian. Story..
I want to love this book but everything i try, the damn girl is crying! uggh! Why does the main character have to cry ALL the time. The storyline is still pretty good but this main character has very little growth 2 books in. I like to finish series, so I will be diving in..

The narrator did great. Loved the different voices. The story however left so much to be desired. It became almost a hate listen. Don’t waste a credit or money on this. The story was agonizingly slow and the main character thinks much too highly of her importance. I just wanted to shake her she was..
This book is terrible. The narrators are good but the content is trash. How does kidnapping and total control equate to love?
I was about halfway through when I realized I hated the story hated the male lead character and I’ve only done this once before (not being able to finish a book) there’s also a couple of scenes where the male actor whispers in this intense voice as if he’s trying to keep someone from hearing..
This is a very depressing story of a young 7 yr old girl, who spends as much time alone away from her mother and school kids as she can. Her mother is more interested in new boy friends than anything about her daughter or tge abuse she is suffering at school. As the years go..
