Loved listening to this book. I loved the author’s notes even more. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Good story with a lot going on with multiple characters. I did a lot of head scratching & asking but why would they… or That’s dumb, they should… But that’s the point of the storyline. I predicted a few of the twists & others I was surprised by. Lots of smarts behind the main character…
Loved loved the story line! Multiple times I wanted to smack the kids for their personal thoughts but it adds the will they/wont they twists to each chapter. Really liked the switching from his/her perspective! Love when books do this. I think it adds a lot to any story line. Love this series

Southern accent sounded fake but it was ok. i still enjoyed it thoroughly. Good book
the female narrator is great… but wierdly there is a male narrator who has a Canadian accent and its off-putting for Carson, who is from Texas… ha! his female voices are odd and strangely lispy. no matter, it’s okay from the series, not my fave.
I didn’t dislike the book, it was right up my alley. My recommendation would be to read it. the female detective’s leads character would have been fine had it not been for the terrible attempt at a Boston accent. It just ruined it for me and the worst was that it was like the narrator..
