The book is, as expected, fantastic.

The narration was, as well, except for the very (VERY) obvious audio balancing issues. Whoever was in charge of quality control/audio balancing royally messed up.

The male narrator is always too quiet. I’ve missed nearly 15% of the story simply because I cannot hear it.

The female narrator is always too loud. The audio with her is grainy, choppy, and clearly has either too much gain or something similar.

It’s impossible to find a viable middle ground with turning the volume up and down, so the narration is more of a chore to listen to than it is enjoyable in many instances.

The voice actors themselves are fantastic, however. It would have been incredible if I could listen to them on a balanced audio track.

I’m rating the Performance a 1/5, and the Story a 5/5.
