There are soooo many stories that will cause your sense of wonder to wilt after a while because they’re predictable or because the characters become unrelatable. This book is built on a series that consistently does the opposite and it deserves a top space in the final ranking. Matt has pulled me into such a well written world and tale that I struggle to find a comparison… Maybe One Piece? He even minimized potential continuity errors in a logical and elegant way, such that I can’t always guess what happens on a new read. Jeff somehow brings a life to the characters I never knew they needed. And the singing!! Both the good and the bad – absolutely fantastic. The only thing I dislike about Jeff is that he sets the bar too high and I have yet to find a narrator that is his equal. I just finished my first listen and I can’t wait for the reread. Absolutely recommend this book!
