the authoranages to bring out a decent storyline and is able to tell a decent story. I have enjoyed the books up to this one and do not want to come off completely negative on the author.
with that said he has added a couple details to this book that were a bit offensive. first we run into a nun crawler who, as the story progresses, we find out was a convict for murdering her whole convent. while I guess technically possible of you know anything about the process to monastic life I would posit it would be extraordinarily unlikely to have someone so mentally unstable in a convent.
while I found the detail annoying I was willing to let it go as a poorly researched detail in bad taste the next detail pushed me over the edge. the author decided to add a system where crawlers could claim monsters al la MTG. one of the monsters that Carl claims is uzzy Jesus, who is an obstanent and childish fighter. I am perfectly OK with ppl poking at my faith, I love south Park. this author is no south Park. south Park pokes at everyone equally and is funny about it. this author seems to only have poked at christians and was not funny. the author is certainly free to write whatever he wants but I am done with his writing moving forward.
