This is tricky to review. I did like the ‘Rock star is just wanting love and just to be seen’ trope. The story was cute and the set up original.
But what I had difficulty with was the narration. I must admit that 99.9% of the books i listen to the narrators are American. As a Brit somehow that makes the sexytimes sexier!
Luca sounds like someone doing a bad Mick Jagger impression (which seems to be the go to for Rock Stars) and Olly sounds exactly like Brett Goldstein (nothing wrong with that) but that made Luca’s chapters a bit painful.
But, what works in their favour is the sarcasm and wit, which makes more sense with a British accent. They also do great accents for side characters!
Nice HEA after a third act break up and a little bit of spice.
