I am so far from the target demographic of this series! I’m a lady in my mid 60s who reads historical fiction and mysteries. I read this on the recommendation of my son in law, and I’ve had such fun with the whole series. It’s irreverent and funny, with a wild plot. I’ve listened the whole series twice now, and it was even better the second time through.
I listen to a lot of audiobooks. A lot. Like 280 hours a month a lot. I have to say that Jeff Hays is the best narrator of any book I’ve ever listened to. His ability to do different accents, different genders, a different feeling for each character, is extraordinary. He’s a genius. Listen to these books for that alone and you won’t be disappointed.
10/10 recommend both for the writing and the narration. I highly recommend the series!
