I read this book on Kindle, and as a fan of Amy Padilla was super excited to see it on audible. so I bought the first two without listening to the sample. I haven’t listened to any of joels other works so I’m not sure if it’s normal for him to talk like an old man. but the groan / pause after each word was so frustrating I didn’t even finish the first chapter. sorry, love the story but I won’t be listening to it.
