Less “Emersive audio”

I understand that they have been more and more leaning into the sound booth theater. I don’t understand who is asking for this or why it is being pushed sound booth theater is already putting out a full cast version of the books without these add-ons.

Normally the sounds are forgettable at worst, like the message beep or the incredibly annoying car horn.

Vomit sounds tho are insane.

Quasar speaks to another lawyer via video chat. the audio for whatever that other lawyer says is so distorted that despite multiple rewinds I still have no idea what she says.

There is a lot of good here I’ve always suggested anyone who picks up DDC to go with the audiobooks vecaythey are so good. I cannot make that recommendation for this book.
