The conceit of Dungeon Crawler World is tough. It’s a hard balancing act – create interesting books that take the reader on a journey. By the middle of Book 8, however, we are inundated by yet another floor mechanic that will chew up and spit out more and more Crawlers. This book goes hard with the gore and shock & awe. For this reader, it’s starting to get a little repetitive. It does end up in an interesting place, by the end, but the middle chunk is now getting to be a thing you have to slog through to get to the interesting parts.
