The story was bizarre in that there were really stern and uncaring characters who had no respect for higher education, and the mc seemed not to have learned any interpersonal skills at college. I might have finished listening if the narration wasn’t so melodramatic and desperate sounding. I really couldn’t relate to the characters. The farmers seemed out of place in this century, and a person from that environment isn’t likely to get a masters in childhood development. The most ridiculous was that after being at college for 6 years, she put up with the disrespect she was getting. It all just didn’t make sense.
