My least favorite so far in this great, entertaining series. Mainly because of the introduction of a collector card battle element which bogged down the story with long explanations of the rules and endless introductions of each new card. The story would start to pick up steam and give the usual crazy twists outside of the card game, but then it would be time for another card battle. I think the whole thing could have been rewritten without the cards and been better off for it, but your mileage may vary if you are more into collectible card battle games. The author did come up with some humorous card characters and was able to control plot direction at times using these new rules. And overall I’m still a big fan of the series.
