I loved how this book doesn’t leave me depressed or frustrated every time I finish a chapter. The details are just right in my opinion, not a chore to slough through like tolkien, but not sparse and empty either. I was looking for a series to start and enjoy while waiting for PH 14, and after trying 4 different litrpg series, I couldn’t put this one down! I didn’t recognize Jeff Hays, and I have listened to DCC but this series and portrayal is vastly superior. Busted out laughing innumerable times, cried 2x and have ordered all the others available on Audible. I recommend if you want an engaging and light-hearted read.
