I couldn’t grasp the premise of this book until about an hour in where you really start to grasp the story. This is a standalone sci-fi story that has sharp humor and Black Mirroresque issues, but it’s more than that too. It’s a story about someone doing everything they can to protect the people they love while the world feels against them, but at the same time keeping things light and enjoyable to read mostly.
