What an unexpectedly hypnotic novel and dramatized narration! Beautifully melancholy and nostalgic in its history and memories of an old woman and her lifetime. I found myself unconsciously filling in the gaps between letters in my mind, and Sybil’s story is a rich one. Definitely a favorite!
