The Correspondence by Virginia Evans was a challenging book for me to get into at first. It is not my typical genre, and the format in which the story is written made it difficult to keep track of the characters and understand who was who in the beginning. Because of that, it took me longer than usual to become invested in the story.

However, as I continued reading, I found the book becoming increasingly engaging and interesting. The storyline unfolds gradually and reveals multiple layers, making it much richer and more complex than I initially expected. Once I became more familiar with the characters and the structure of the novel, I was able to appreciate the depth of the narrative and the connections between the different storylines.

One of the strengths of the book is its layered plot, which offers a lot for readers to think about and uncover as the story progresses. In fact, I believe this is a book that would benefit from a second reading. There were moments where I felt I may have missed important details or connections, and revisiting the story would likely provide a greater appreciation of the overall narrative and its intricacies.

Overall, while The Correspondence required some patience and adjustment on my part, it ultimately proved to be a rewarding read with an engaging, multi-layered story.
