I had started the book expecting something more for a youth genre, having heard it was great but little more than that other than I should give it a try. I was initially put off by the premise of the book and how dark it got and the more adult themed things within, but I kept listening despite those scenes because I genuinely was enjoying the story. It’s been a very long time since I’ve felt like continuing a series past the first book because I was so engrossed by it. I don’t even watch more than one season of anime or TV shows because I tend to find them boring and drawn out.. But this has given me something to genuinely want to continue the series.
