Sounds gay, I’m in.

This book is great and shows so much growth from the author. It is the closest thing I’ve read from them to a page turner. The author managed to take one of my most hated tropes and make it enjoyable. The MC is fun, the supporting characters have appreciable depth and there’s even direct references to the stray cat strut series as a bonus.

As with all their books there’s a really solid thread of queerness running through it, and I’m here for it. I also appreciate as an ace person who usually finds smut scenes tedious that they’ve been clearly demarcated in a new format for this series, making it easy for me to skip. This is great and I love it.

Can’t wait for volume 2!
