loved Keri Lakes Anathema so gave this a try. you can tell the writing style is a little less refined than her more recent books (I can see her growth as an author) but her storytelling is great as always and I love how she gives her characters these deep traumatic backstories that make you so invested in their HEA and you as the reader have a clear understanding of why the characters act and feel the way they do.
