Once again, author Matt Dinniman gives us an imaginative, dystopian story reminiscent of the 2019 pandemic; chaos ensues, yet the human spirit continues to thrive. Carl, Princess Donut, and their found family manage to defeat enemies and face all manners of atrocities just to remain alive. Matt’s ability to create a variety of unique monsters (creature and human) is quite impressive. Credit due once again to the multifaceted narrator Jeff Hays. He is able to give depth of emotion to characters through his talented voice work. Even if you’re not a fan of Sci-Fi, Jeff’s creativity will keep you interested throughout this imaginative series.
