Basically, combine Master Chief and a Astartes to get the MC of this book, then throw him in a world with magic and fantasy species. The only real downside of the story is the narrators. while individually they do a good job, but the switching between them to fully narrate characters is disappointing. You have two narrators, have one voice one set of characters and the other the rest.
