This book encapsulates my entire life. I taught myself how to play D&D with the basic box set at 8yrs old in ‘78. Been playing all kinds of games since then. The entire series brings every bit of the ridiculous knowledge game nerds possess as a lifter to the experience. You know and get all the references, you have had similar experiences in games where you had to go and “Carl it up!”, and you also get pretty amazing dialogue.
I can’t recommend this enough.
