The renderings of a dying woman

I understand that this character driven story needs to go at a slow pace. Due to the protagonist’s age and the lack of ever dealing with grief and pain during her lifetime, the writing needs to float along, in order for the character to fully reveal herself. Due to this slow walk, it was hard for me to keep focused enough, to understand her musings. It plodded along at a snail’s rate of speed and it just was not there for me.
