This is an anti- establishment, capitalism is bad series but If you follow the author you know he is just a pawn. You can pay to be in the books, you can pay to change the story. He is making it all up as he goes along and monetizing every decision and plot point. His first decision was to be an Amazon/audible exclusive (can’t even find it in the library) and now you can pay for plot points. He is part of the problem. This book reads like he didnt get enough suggestions for plot points so it’s just whacky racing and then exposition dump. Ai is worse and torturing people and its clear the author really wants to be a horror author but he forgets that he wasn’t successful at that. He still identifies as a bassist. no one in the dungeon needs to be there, they chose it and the author can just change the plot tomorrow if he has a big enough donor. Why are we here? Every other series or book by this author is bad, this one series was good but it’s getting bad. Is it a meta? Is he having AI write this stuff? Then he chose the guy who made Ted to make his show on a network that has canceled this guys shows. I have no faith this isn’t just a grift.
