The details regarding the main character spoke more to a nurse than a doctor. She had a perfect work schedule, it seemed. Also the salary that was mentioned for the surgeon was not aligned with reality.
Promise being a doctor didn’t seem realistic. She was ok with unprotected sex with someone she’d just started dating. She wasn’t on birth control and spoke like someone who had more sexual experience than what she was supposed to.
I also hated the narrators interpretation of a southern woman’s voice.
