Matt Dinniman’s book “The Gate of the Feral Gods” is book four in his Dungeon Crawler Carl series. It is another fun and exciting entry into the new genre of books known as LitRPG and it definitely lives up to the hype.
In book 4 all of the characters are meant to descend into the fifth floor of the dungeon. But Carl and Princess Donut are no longer willing to be pushed along – now, they are determined to fight back. The characters find themselves in a tight spot when they have just 15 days to capture four floating castles on land, sea, air and sky. With an enemy planning to do them all in, it is up to Carl and Princess Donut to coordinate their response in a manner than will leave no Crawler behind.
LitRPG (Literary Role-Playing Game) books, also known as LitRPG/MMORP (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) is an “actual real-world video game format based on actual games, video and otherwise, that frequently inspire these stories.” There is plenty of character development and action as well as inventory to be had and loot to be gotten. The stories are crazy, weird, addictive, funny, offbeat, whimsical, imaginative, compelling, strange and fun. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
