I really loved the first book so I was excited to listen to book 2 but idk what happened with this story. Idk how to feel about it either there’s still a lot of “I can’t tell you” issues. I should have just DNF this one but idk I just needed to finish it i guess I was hoping for redemption with a sensitive issues in the story. For those who are sensitive to SA this book might not be the best fit. Theres no actual SA but there’s an issue with the 2 main characters that just feels like it’s non consensual. Also Mal gave me the ick some of the stuff he tells Bryce felt like gaslighting. I’m not sure if I’ll give the 3rd book a try yet this story was just very much not my cup of tea. Performance was great tho.
