This was an absolutely heartwarming story. A perfect fun & sweet story. I have read and enjoyed Laura’s books previously so this was a no brainer to pick up this book. I loved everything about this story, it was fun , sweet and festive. This is the first time I’m hearing Charlie Emmeline Albers & I was quite impressed by the narration. She was absolutely fantastic. She gave life to the story and each of the characters effortlessly. The plot of the story was engaging and super cute & the characters were relatable . This story reminded of Mary Poppins. I loved both Ruby and Barley. Barley is a widower with two young daughters and trying to make things go smoothly. He comes across as grumpy. Ruby comes in his life as they kids nanny. She was absolute fun. I really enjoyed the slow burn romance between Ruby and Barclay. The story had perfect doses of fun , festivities, emotions , angst & romance. Really enjoyed listening to this book.
