I normally love everything from this author but a lot of this story just hit wrong. First off, she is highly qualified for a position as director but a man she feels as close to as a father picks a man from outside. But he was so sad that he had to do it and he hoped she understood that this man was brilliant and could take her product to great places. Ugh. Then it turns out to be her ex boyfriend from college who left her 13 years ago when she told him she loved him. Then he wants a professional relationship at work but wants to keep a private personal relationship. Then he does several stalkerish moves and all everyone says is it’s because he loves you. Slap a restraining order on that man and get a new job!
On the plus side, the narrators were great. And there were some caring moments where he took care of her, but overall this book left me disappointed.
