I honestly didn’t think this series could get any better after Book One.
I was wrong.
Carl’s Doomsday Scenario somehow manages to raise the stakes, become even more ridiculous, and somehow get even funnier.
I laughed out loud so many times listening to this book that I probably looked completely unhinged in public—and I regret absolutely nothing.
Carl continues to be one of my favorite main characters, but Princess Donut…
She’s an icon.
A legend.
A tiny fluffy queen who somehow keeps stealing the spotlight every chance she gets.
The entire cast of characters is fantastic. Every new floor introduces more chaos, more ridiculous situations, and somehow makes you care even more about everyone involved.
And once again…
Jeff Hays absolutely blew me away.
Calling him a narrator honestly doesn’t feel like enough. Every character sounds like an entirely different actor, and I still cannot believe one person performs all of these voices.
This series completely changed how I read.
Before Book One, I never listened to audiobooks.
Now I’m officially hooked on immersive reading, and I can honestly say these are the best audiobooks I’ve ever experienced.
Before I even finished Book Two…
…I had already bought the entire eight-book series.
