the narrator did a great job with the different characters voices and personalities. It was easy to distinguish between them, and he was able to give what could have been flat characters a bit of depth, like most of the firefighters in Ash.
as for the overall series, some of the books were entertaining, others were OK. I still would have no issue recommending the series and this version of the audio recording to others, excepted that recommendation would come with some caveats to make sure folks know what they are in for.
