Would you try another book from J. J. McAvoy and/or Jeff Hays?
yes, I will probably continue the series.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The ending was ok, but a little confusing. With all the lead up I thought it would be a little more insightful.
What aspect of Jeff Hays’s performance would you have changed?
I just didn’t like that they changed the narration from the first book. I got used to the first narrator, who was fantastic, and all of the characters were original sounding and believable. In this book, it was hard to tell the voices apart, and it sounded like a person doing impressions, not like separate voices.
What would have made this romance irresistible?
More suspense. For some reason the flow of this book was just not as good as the first one.
