Just as in some of the recent high profile crime cases, the culprit CAN literally get away with murder – depending on how good the lawyers and prosecutors are – despite the overwhelming circumstantial evidence and witnesses against the defendant. This is a prime example of “the best team wins”…not justice served.
Unfortunately, in one of these cases, it was a two card whammy…lesser experienced prosecutors AND the lack of hard physical evidence. An all too familiar scenario these days. This is the story of what can happen (and sadly, often does) in the aftermath of such a situation.
As usual, Kevin Pierce (narration) takes it right off the pages for me, making me FEEL that shock, anger, suspense and frustration….and has me behaving as if my ranting and raving is going to actually affect the outcome. Hahaaa. This was a VERY interesting story, and I enjoyed listening to every minute of it.
