What made me keep listening to the story more than anything is the voice of Kitty Hendrix. Great nuances, pitches, and the way she portrayed the feelings of each character and situations they found themselves in is remarkable. The story is thrilling, every time my heart turned to its normal pace there was a twist in the story to make it beat fast again. I find it quite unbelievable that Meg, the main female character, learns to survive and do the things she did in such a short time, but I give her the benefit of the doubt. She is intelligent and strong, I loved her perseverance and drive to uncover the truth and close the case which was the cause of her husban’s death, she wins despite the deadly obstacles thrown in her path. I like happy endings and there is a hint of that at the end.
Would I listen to another of Mr. Weston’s books? Most likely, if Ms. Hendrix is the narrator.
