What did you love best about The Wild One?
This entire series is fantastic and The WIld One is an excellent introduction to the De Montforte Brothers. A close family, held together by the dangerous elder brother Lucien, the Duke of Blackheath, the De Montfortes are everything you dream the English Aristocracy should be. The brothers are handsome, fearless, and each have a distinct personality, reflected by the name the townspeople have given them. Garreth is “The Wild One” because of his untamed ways. Will he ever settle down? Only with the right woman.
What other book might you compare The Wild One to and why?
Jennifer Ashley’s Mackenzie series, because it has a similar set of strong, courageous brothers at its center.
What does David Stifel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I’ve already read the entire series, three times in fact. David Stifel’s narration made it all new again to me. His voices, at times a little silly (but probably what the people really sounded like), really make it real. His vocalization of the Duke of Blackheath alone make this series a must listen.
If you could take any character from The Wild One out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Lucien, because I would love to see inside that dark mind of his. 🙂
Any additional comments?
The entire series is fantastic and the narrator adds to it even more. I own them all and will listen to them many times, I am quite sure.
