The small Rowland family pack is close knit and loving. Precocious little Corinne, however, makes the “terrible twos” in human children look like a walk in the park. Tommy is doing his best to raise his little girl, but life keeps getting complicated. For one thing, Uncle Carl’s anti-wolf campaign has spread.

I haven’t read the first book in the series, but the author adeptly gives enough information about events in the previous book to make this one do well as a stand-alone. I recommend it highly as a look at “ordinary people” who just happen to be able to shift their shapes.
