Narration, Maxwell Zener – Max has a smooth voice and is pleasant to listen to and this has really great production quality. There are several characters of both sexes and he handles them well with nothing falling in the “over the top” category.
The story is a mystery, well, actually there are several mysteries going on in this book – some un-seemingly related events however, somehow there are some common players involved in each of these individual events. I enjoyed the mystery and attempting to figure out what the connection was and who actually was the bad guy. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the way the facts were revealed in the end. It got a little bit Scooby Doo there – I much prefer for the characters to muddle their way into the details and truths of the mystery vs. having the “bad guy” regurgitate exactly what he did and why he did it. That always seems just a little bit too convenient and easy. But it was still an enjoyable listen.
