Would you try another book from David Wood and/or Jeffrey Kafer?
Not if it was as poorly written as this one.
What could David Wood have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Cut out the juvenile boyfriend/girlfriend banter and the “tough chick” attitude of the female characters.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I don’t know if it was the narrator who detracted from the book or the material he had to work with was so poorly written. He seemed somewhat flat, but the dialogue is atrocious. He probably did his best with what was there.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Atlantis?
I can’t answer that fairly, as I could only stand to listen to about a third of it. I think that I’d reduce the number of primary characters to the two main male characters and the female archeologist.
Any additional comments?
The premise of the story had great potential for a good thriller. Unfortunately, the dialogue between characters and some of the characters themselves really ruined a good idea.
