No, despite opinions to the contrary, this is no where near as similar, or as good as The Martian!!! Ok, that’s outta the way… It’s just not a very good story… The science is good, and interesting, but the story and plot themselves leave a lot to be desired… A lot of inconsistencies in plot and character traits that are often glaring and distracting… Pretty unrealistic on the whole, and drastically in many instances… Couldn’t really get into any of the characters, excepting maybe Rick and Nicky… Narration is decent, but couldn’t add anything to a pretty mediocre book…
