The thing I liked the most about this apocalyptic story was that the author didn’t feel like he had to explain every little detail! The story picks up after “the event”, and I loved that! There are some flashbacks, but this story, for the most part, is set years after the world changing event. The protagonist is an unlikely bad ass, but kind of has to be in order to have a story, haha. What would be the point if he wasn’t?! I usually don’t like Kevin Pierce’s narration, but he did a pretty good job in this one. All in all, a pretty good book, and I will absolutely move on to the next book in the series!
