This may have been an ok story if the narrator didn’t read like it was from a textbook. Also the main charactors would ‘think’ their feelings or actions before saying/doing them.
Example: That is a great plan, she thought. “That is a great plan! “.
The book would be an hour shorter if the author would stop being so redundant.
