Well, normally I’m light and I generally get along with most books even if they aren’t the best. The main character is Gabriel… And it seems needlessly bizarre. That is a loosely based Christian book. It’s ok, but I couldn’t finish it. I’ll request a refund, the narrators voice is very, difficult to listen to. Everyone has a dark and raspy voice. It’s grating and can get rather bothersome. The Cajan accent that one character has is like acid and inaccurate. It’s just a poor performance. Even the book itself wanders and weaves and fails to make a connection between the characters and the story. I would recommend not listening to this particular book. But not everyone is Dick Hill. And I’ve heard far better developed ideas and technology. It’s rather lazy, it’s boring, and it plods along meaninglessly. No imagination just blunt force storytelling that does not mingle well with other chapters.
