- Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
- Absolutely… I think this book is only made even more enjoyable by the performance of the narrator. The way he voices Remy is fabulous… sexy, smart and really sarcastic. He brings out all the humor in these characters – which is really a bonus.
- Who was your favorite character and why?
- I’d be insane if I didn’t say Remy, the bad-boy British vampire who’s forced to move to Willow Creek by his maker. Remy is dry and droll and full of wit… but under it all he is really a vulnerable character with a great backstory. He’s a beautifully drawn anti-hero. And he’s sexy as hell.
- Have you listened to any of Joel Froomkin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
- This is my first… I’ll look out for more. He’s lively and really commits to the performance. It’s not just someone ‘reading’ – which I love. It’s an added dimension to enjoying the material.
- Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
- There is a dream sequence that was sensual and romantic and pretty amazing.
- Any additional comments?
- So happy I found this series… I devoured Twilight, and I actually really find these characters more engaging. There is nothing helpless about Sabine – she’s a great foil for Remy and they it’s totally engaging when the sparks fly between them. I’m a fan.
