The Rymans decide to leave their home and head for safer ground. Where this safer ground exists is the great unknown. They head for a friend’s ranch in Tennessee not knowing whether they will be welcome or not. This volume chronicles their travels, primarily along the Natchez Trace. It seems as though every bend conceals another group of crazed survivors wanting to take whatever the Rymans have, potentially including their lives. This is a great addition to the Blackout Series; well-developed characters with plenty of action and tension around every curve. My favorite narrator Kevin Pierce brings much to the story.
