It seems everyone except the handsome Dragon Lord Trelon wished they hadn’t captured Cara because the pint sized, feisty, energetic Engineering Genius was never where she should be but rather was always where she shouldn’t be and she was forever causing trouble and mayhem on board. But the likeable Cara just couldn’t help herself…. she loved messing around with technology and all the new gadgetry and circuit boards were just begging for her attention…. and she had plenty of time never needing more than just a few hours of sleep a night, together with consuming buckets full of caffeine, she was like a possessed kid in a Candy Store. And poor Trelon and his Dragon just wanted desperately to claim and mate with her but he always had to catch her first.
I must admit I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much as the previous book as the focus seemed to be more on the fun parts rather than the romance. Oh, don’t get me wrong, it did have its sexy and romantic times but Cara, together with Trelon’s willing symbiot, brought humor, mischief and innocent antics to the listen which made it more of a funny caper rather than a love story. However, there was also drama, angst, a bitter scheming ex, some heartache and terror caused by their evil enemies the Curizans.
Worth a credit? Dual POV’s, a good male narrator, plenty of descriptive funny scenes which gave great mental imagery as Cara re-wired, re-programmed and re-invented while on board the space ship and the rest of the story was very enjoyable too so YES creditworthy as long as you’re prepared for the exasperating Cara!!
