Where does Winter’s Edge rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I would say it is in my top 50 favorite audiobooks, and I have a lot so that is actually saying something.
What did you like best about this story?
I like that the Outzone wasn’t “Just” a lawless land. The ways that the people have learned to survive were rather genius and there are spots that are actually safe and normal. In a lot of post apocalyptic novels everywhere the characters go is fraught with danger and evil and this book kind of moved slightly away from that.
What about Kevin Pierce’s performance did you like?
Kevin’s voice is very soothing and just fits with the ruggedness of the book. He did a very good job at doing definitive voices for each character and he does a very subtle, but still strong conveyance of each characters emotions and I really liked that.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me really feel for the pain that Brogan felt for the loss of his family. It doesn’t go into a lot of detail about his feelings, but you can tell by his actions in the book that he really feels their loss.
