Dislikable family, abusive husband glorified, materialistic, too many details about the mother..( do we need to know what shade of blonde her hair was? Do we nee to know about how they adored butchering animals? Cheating husband, puts a gun to Ives head, hit her and controls her yet , she loves him sooo much because they are Catholic of course she stays even after he is dead. Yes, i dont like them. The story of the young girl is completely lost in the details about their material goods and constant moving….its NOT a well written book. Its a soap opera with an incident. Strong woman? Strong women dont stick with husbands who come very close to blowing their heads off…..wow. Skip it because they author clearly is enamored with this family. Im sad that the little girls ordeal took a back seat. Pure crap.
