I’ve listened to quite a few of Jack Olsen’s audiobooks. All the rest were mesmerizing, but “Predator” … not so much. For a true crime book, “Predator” is light on crime, at least experienced by the protagonist family. Yes, their experience was a tragedy, but if you happen to fall asleep for a few minutes while listening, you could miss the entirety of the criminal happenings. (Crimes against others would be mentioned later in the book, but details about these are light as well.)
“Predator” is more of a human-interest story about a mother committed to keeping her (shrinking) family together, despite the odds stacked against her.
