What a great start to a new series – the action kicks off from the start when handsome Cop James finally tracks down his missing K9 Partner Bogart to a secluded cabin and what he also finds there is Shay who’s a sassy sexy spitfire. The tension is high and so is the chemistry but neither one will admit it but James’ Cop instincts are on high alert because he knows things aren’t what they seem…… and everything snowballs from there.
A very entertaining complex plot which quickly developed as two ex’s cause grief and mayhem and a strong heroine who is haunted by a tragic past which makes her insecure and vulnerable and she badly needs a Prince to save her…… even if he’s got four legs! It’s an action-packed exciting thriller with twists, suspense, drama, danger, sex and a romance that gets tested before it’s hardly begun.
Constantly changing dual POV’s which was good rather than alternating chapter by chapter views and JK’s narration made this a very enjoyable listen.
Worth a credit? It was far fetched fiction at it’s finest and just what I hoped for and love….. so I’ve no regrets using a credit on this listen and I’m eagerly looking forward to the next doggie disaster.
